D.R.I.V.E. System & G-99 Breakneck Mount Guide
The D.R.I.V.E. System (Dynamic and Revolutionary Improvements to Vehicular Experiences) is a new feature introduced in Patch 11.1: Undermine(d). This system brings an exciting new ground mount, the G-99 Breakneck., designed to outperform older ground mounts with increased speed and efficiency.
In this guide, we'll cover everything you need to know about the G-99 Breakneck , including how to obtain it and customize its features Patch 11.1!
How to Unlock the G-99 Breakneck Mount
The G-99 Breakneck mount is obtained through a questline in Undermine. To begin, players must complete Chapter 2 of the Patch 11.1 Undermine campaign and familiarize themselves with the Incontinental Hotel.
Once introduced to the hotel's amenities, the quest No More Walkin' Here becomes available. This quest leads to Nanny Talullah, the Shipping and Handling boss, who will then offer the quest
License Not Required.
License Not Required serves as an introduction to the D.R.I.V.E. System, covering essential mechanics like driving, turbo boosts, and job-based tasks. Completing this quest rewards players with their first D.R.I.V.E. vehicle—the
G-99 Breakneck.
F.A.Q. – D.R.I.V.E. System & G-99 Breakneck
Can I use the G-99 Breakneck outside of Undermine in Patch 11.1?
No, as of the current Patch 11.1 PTR, the G-99 Breakneck is restricted to Undermine and cannot be used in other zones.
Is the G-99 Breakneck mount account-wide?
Yes! Once you complete the D.R.I.V.E. System introduction quests, the G-99 Breakneck will be available to all characters on your account upon entering Undermine.
The D.R.I.V.E. Vehicle Bar
When you mount your G-99 Breakneck, you will see a new action bar for your vehicle.
-
Boost (Default Keybind: 1) - Gain a massive burst of speed for a short duration. This consumes Turbo.
-
Start Job (Default Keybind: 5) - Start a Shipping and Handling task. If you are already on a task, this will cancel it.
-
Eject! (Default Keybind: 6) - Dismount from your G-99 Breakneck.
The Turbo Bar above your vehicle bar tracks how much Turbo you currently have.
Boosting and Drifting in the D.R.I.V.E. System
The G-99 Breakneck is already a high-speed mount, but you can push its limits further with the
Boost ability. Activating Boost grants a burst of speed for a few seconds, maintaining peak velocity for 2-3 seconds before gradually returning to the mount’s normal speed.
Turbo and Boost Management
- Boosting consumes Turbo, which is displayed on the Turbo bar above your vehicle interface.
- Your vehicle has a maximum of 100 Turbo available.
- Turbo does not regenerate over time—the only way to replenish it is by drifting.
How to Drift and Regenerate Turbo
- Hold down Spacebar while riding the G-99 Breakneck to initiate a drift.
- Drifting generates 2 Turbo every 0.5 seconds while maintaining the drift.
- Releasing Spacebar will stop the drift.
Drifting not only restores Turbo but also allows for tighter, more precise turns, making it an essential skill for navigating Undermine efficiently.
