Making its debut in Diablo 4's Vessel of Hatred expansion, the Spiritborn is a swift and lethal apex predator from the dense jungles of Nahantu. Spiritborn are nature-bound warriors, much like Druids, but they emphasize weapon-based attacks over shapeshifting and elemental magic.

The Spiritborn’s closest counterpart in previous Diablo games is likely the Monk, with a similar fast-paced, nimble fighting style. For instance, the Eagle Guardian’s Vortex skill draws strong parallels to the Monk’s Cyclone Strike from Diablo 3.

Spiritborn Class Mechanic: Spirit Hall

In Diablo 4, each class has a unique mechanic that allows for deeper customization and enhances the overall class fantasy. For the Spiritborn, this mechanic is known as the Spirit Hall, a core system that lets players interact with their Spirit Guardians to tailor their gameplay experience.

Spirit Hall allows you to assign a Primary and Secondary Spirit Guardian, each offering distinct benefits:

• Primary Spirit Guardian: Influences all of your skills, significantly altering how you approach combat.
• Secondary Spirit Guardian: Grants a passive effect, further augmenting your combat abilities with specialized buffs.

The Four Spirit Guardians you can choose from are:

Kwatli the Eagle

Kwatli the Eagle deals  Lightning Damage to enemies, focused on precision, accuracy, and finesse.

Kwatli is a fierce, tactical force of agility and devastation with a strong focus on Movement Speed and mobility. The Seeker flies to the ground while pulsing Lightning Damage into enemies and applying Vulnerable, hovering for a short duration before taking back to the skies.

Wumba the Gorilla

Wumba the Gorilla deals  Physical Damage to enemies, aligning with the bruiser archetype, active defense, and protection.

The Protector Wumba synergizes with builds focused on Damage Reduction, leaping into groups of enemies and smashing them into the earth while granting Barrier to allies within the ground slam's range.

Rezoka the Jaguar

Rezoka the Jaguar deals  Fire Damage to enemies, representing violence, aggression, and speed.

The Hunter Rezoka is a ferocious Jaguar that emphasizes Attack Speed, kill streaks, and massive, scaling damage in a fast-paced playstyle. This Spirit Guardian synergizes with Cooldown-based builds, frequently resetting Cooldowns while laying waste to enemies.

Spiritborn Legendary Aspects

Legendary Aspects are powerful abilities that can be transferred to Rare or Legendary items, providing additional boosts to your character's performance. Aspects are earned by completing specific dungeons or looted from Legendary items.

For the Spiritborn, Legendary Aspects can be acquired through completing various dungeons across Sanctuary. Some of these Aspects are general and available to all classes, while many are exclusive to the Spiritborn class.

Additionally, players can obtain Aspects by Salvaging Legendary items at the Blacksmith. When a Legendary item is salvaged, the Aspect from that item will be added to your Codex of Power, allowing you to learn new Aspects or upgrade those already available with higher quality variants.
